Summer :)? Script so that PC says the temperature with festival (using weather.com)?


Hello,

I am using lirc and it's great. Is there someone that as already made a script to echo the temperature outside from weather.com ?

(in degreessss)

I tried doing something like this once. Wanted a calendar system that would remind me of upcoming events like fathers day and what not like a day or two before. Started it but never completed it.

I wrote something to get METAR weather in php.
METAR is the airport weather data, available worldwide. In most places, it gets updated once an hour or better.

Huge pain decoding it though.

You are best off decoding a weather service RSS feed.

How do you get your location code to fill this in? "icao=XXXX"

Hey,
I just found this way:
www.google.com

then enter in the google field:
Code:
findlocalweather paris
look what it says:
and copy the XXXX code
for paris it is :
http://www.findlocalweather.com/fore...t=zandh&pands=LFPO
