sparc problems with c-main


I need to make a C-main which will send 3 sets of characters to a SPARC function. the first argument in the C function call is a character array of 5 characters. is there a way that i could take one character at a time and compare them to the character from the next argument? thanks

well actually my problem is, i cant figure out how to take the first character from the array and store it into a register so i can compare it.
