question on NeHe OpenGL/SDL/linux tutorial

http://nehe.gamedev.net/data/lessons....asp?lesson=07

I ran the Linux/SDL version of the code and it works, but you're supposed to be able to zoom the box in and out by holding page up/down. Problem is it only moves one little bit each time you hit the key, it doesn't keep moving if you hold it down. On the windows visual c++ version, it does. I'm not too familure with SDL so I'm not sure why it doesn't work.
