psp vs py

Am installing python as i want to learn it. But i have a question which mod to use psp handler or the publisher which does .py files as per the tutorials i have seen you can only have one at a time.
So which one is easier to learn and is used most.

Hi guess i should be more clearer, am on a linux server and i want to know which kind of python files are easiest to use while displaying content .py or .psp as according to the install instructions am using you can only have one of them at a time being served through apache. I.e either use MOD.....py or MOD....psp.
