Process Timer in Java or C

Hi there!!!
Does anybody know how to use a timer for a process block? I am really interested to know how this is possible particularly in Java (any class for such thing). I have seen a clock function in C but to be honest i am not really with that.
Will be greatful for your help

I'm not clear what you want - gettimeofday(), or a profiler like EJP (Extensible Java Profiler).

Try http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/ and look in Concurrency Utilities for APIs/Classes, as well as an Overview, Tutorials, etc.
