problem in linking static library in Jamfile

Hi Experts

I am linking few staic library with my source code using Jamfile. When I make modification in the code for static library, and compile the main jamfile, it won't linking to the library(i.e the library whose source code had been modified) But if user do "clean and run the main Jam file again, then my changes i.e where I made changes in the code for static library will be reflecting. Why ?

Can anybody tell me, as soon as user modify the code for static library, when user compile the main JAM file , it will link with the changed static library ?

Sorry, the psychics are not here today. You will have to post the section of your jamfile which is supposed to rebuild your target when the library changes.

Why are you using jam instead of make?

In make, you would just list it as a dependency
