Plugins under linux


Hello,

anyone who knows good tut/infos about writing a plugin system under linux "c/c++" (non MFC, lol, just kidding)

Hi,
I dont know a particular tutorial, but you should check de dlopen/dlsym/dlclose manual pages (and then search for that in google ). Those functions lets you dynamicaly load code in C/C++ (ok, with C++ is a bit trickier but thats the only thing available).

I'm not sure what you mean by "plug-in", but I suspect (if you're not already familiar with them) you might be interested in either Qt and/or GTK+:

Lightbulb c plugin example

Hello!

You can look (download) documents at:

It has an example of plugin system using shared libraries and
dlopen/dlsym/dlclose.

There is also an example of plugable simple server program.

well if you don't know what a plugin is, lol ....

no need for Qt nor Gtk , i write a real time soft and need to w write stuffs myself
indeed the ldopen thing is the way i had to follow
