PHP wont display £ sign... or is it my editor?

Hi,

I am using KWrite to write my PHP site. I want to put prices of certain items on the site in £ when I put the symbol £ i get the following output:

Is it my editor putting an extra character in or is this a bug in PHP4?

Are you using & pound; (without space) or "£" when editing?

Using just the £ symbol will give you Â£ wheras & pound; will give you £

Yes you must use proper encoding, for example a space would be & nbsp; etc.

Ye, i got it fixed thanks. Apparently you can also use &# 163;
