PHP question

ok I am fairly new to programming in general. I am trying to use php on my webpage assignment and to get some extra credit and maybe help land an internship. I was wanting to attempt to take the idea of some of my python and C++ codes and implement them into my HTML project for a different class.

I have the code for the procedure(s) I want now I am just trying to figure out how to prompt my user for the input values and then save those as variables and then use them in the procedure.

any help would be appreciated

You need to somehow get the variables from the user. There are a few ways of doing this: use the query string in the URL (GET), use an HTML form (POST), or use cookies. The easiest is the query string.
