Partimage scripting question

I am trying to write a script where all i have to do is double click on an icon and get partimage to create a image on to a usb hard drive

I am using Slax that is just the Slax core and partimage
the partition o want to image is hda1
the place i want to put the image is /dev/sda1/images

i keep getting the error:
Konsole is unable to open a PTY (pseudo teletype). It is likely that this is due to an incorrect configuration of the PTY devices. Konsole needs to have read/write access to the PTY.

i have tried changing the read/write permisions on both the drives. for some reason the system will not allow me to change hda1 from read only.
Does this matter seaming as i only want to make an image of it?

Does it mater that my scripts live on sda1?

please help
