Only test.cgi script works?

I am tring to get cgi scripts to work under apache 2.0. I already tested test.cgi and it works fine? The problem is that root owns the file test.cgi. I am running my server under the user mike instead of root. So my file index.cgi is owned by mike. When i try to run index.cgi it just tries to download the file. What would the best solution to this be?

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
