"not able to compile simple C++ programs" error
I've got following problem. I try to './configure" newest version of Kopete and I get this:

configure: error: Your Installation isn't able to compile simple C++ programs.
Check config.log for details - if you're using a Linux distribution you might miss
a package named similar to libstdc++-dev.
I checked whether I have 'libstdc++-dev' packages and I've got:

libstdc++6-devel-3.4.1-3mdk
morover I checked whether I've got gcc packages and I've got:
gcc2.96-cpp-2.96-0.83mdk
gcc-3.4.1-3mdk

but after running configure I get message:

What's going on?. How to install g++ or c++ if I don't have it installed?.
