Need help setting up Makefile

I'm building a new source tree under linux, and need help using automake or just doing it with make.... Any idea will work, just need one that works

here is my dir structure:

appname/
appname/src/
appname/src/Codegen/*.cpp *.h
appname/lib/*.a
appname/lib/*.ali
appname/include/*.h

I have a main.cpp in Codegen that i would like to build as the executable using the *.a and *.ali as well as the *.h's for compiling and linking

Can someone help me set up a simple make file to build and link all of the *.cpp's files? (There are a couple hundered or so files in the Codegen folder, but no subdirs, if that plays into a solution at all)

Thanks in advance to those who help
