MySQL/Java connection problem

Hi All!
I have problem with connecting java app to mysql database. I get following error: "Server configuration denies access to Data source".

there are no errors in the program as I can run it under mandrake, but I just cannot run it under redhat. I use under both OS same java version same mysql, same connector.

Any ideas.

I tried also GRANT ALL ON ..... sugested somewhere in miling list rom mysql, but nothing.

Where is the client and where is the server. What IP is being passed to mysql server when you are connecting.

Have you tried mysql -u [user] -p[pass] from your RH client to the myserver. Can you connect? If not then you know where the problem is. Check mysql database and the hosts allowed in User and Db table.
