Metrics plug-in for Eclipse, does it support Eclipse CDT?

The Metrics plug-in supports Java development well at Eclipse.

http://metrics.sourceforge.net/

I would like to know if it supports Eclipse CDT, so I can use it with my C++ project. Any thought?

If it doesn't support CDT, is there any good static code analysis tools available for Eclipse CDT?

Thanks in advance.

Q: Have you downloaded it and actually tried it with Java? Or are you just reading the specs?

Q: What happened when you tried it with CDT? Are you getting any errors, or do you have any specific questions about setting things up?

This link offers some alternate suggestions:

Hi, I currently have the same question 'Using the Java-Metrics-Plugin for CDT (C/C++)', and did not find a question anywhere right now.

I really installed the Eclipse-Plugin and tried it: The Plugin-Help says 'Use a Java-Projcect' and somewhere else 'change the view to Java'. So I change the 'view' of my C-Project to 'Java', the releavant Tab appears, but no rebuild/refresh did any metric activity - (as asumed).

Additionally I searched the web for Eclipse-C-Code-Metric Plugins and did not find any. So I have two question:

1) Can anybody recommend Eclipse-C-Code-Metric Plugins?

2) Because Java and C/C++ are some kind of 'near together': Does anybody see a chance, to use the Java-Plugin for C/C++?

Bye, Ralf
