Linux interprocess communication capabilities

Hello all!
What are the Linux programs opportunities to communicate between them (except clipboard, localhost sockets, file sharing)?
Thank you.

That is a very broad question. I would suggest the usual internet search as the fastest way to work up a list.

The lists and links here apply to Linux and most other operating systems.

The better way to get useful answers would be to describe what you are trying to accomplish and the language or environment you want to use to do it.

You might want to review the Site FAQ for guidance in posting your questions and general forum usage. Especially, read the link in that page, How To Ask Questions The Smart Way. The more effort you put into understanding your problem and framing your questions, the better others can help!

Can you tell us what you wanted to hear from us that you wouldn't have gotten from a web search?

I mean, shared memory, pipes, and kernel message queues are some others that you get out-of-the-box support for.

This is literally a chapter in the Linux Kernel. Please do some searching.

D-BUS is an important one that might not come up in your searches.

Maybe, but I'm impressed that they got "clipboard". That's one that most people wouldn't think of and that wouldn't come up in most searches.
