javascript redirecting to a servlet in java

Hello,

I have a registration form and a register button which when is clicked a javascript function is called which checks if input data of the table is valid against some regex. I want at the end of my checkForm() function to redirect to a servlet, and pass information extracted from my table. Obviously, because the user will type his password i do want it to be present and shown in the host url.
Does anyone know how to redirect a call to servlet from javascript by passing parameters sensitive information.

Thank you indeed.

1. Use HTTPS instead of HTTP.
2. Use POST instead of GET.
