The question does not have to be directly related to Linux and any language is fair game.

hi, I'm not sure if its javascript that does it or any other language, but I being googling an cant find it.I am building a site and wanna create a "question sign" ? that when users hover over it , a dialogue box appears explaining what it is.I'm sure most of us have seen it on some site or the other.
Can I get some help or links to text on how to create one?

thats simple
i think you put it in with <image src=> tags and add onmouseover()
[code]
<image src="/images/question.gif" OnMouseOver="javascript:helptip()"></image>
[code]
but youcould probably do it in html only using the alt tag because most (all?) browsers show it when you mouse hover.
Hmm. Well, looking at the sourcecode of that page in my browser, I can see that the HTML involved in doing that popup is not too complicated, and that it appears to be just HTML and CSS (cascading style sheet).
The HTML source of the page is pretty self-explanatory if you understand basic HTML; as for the CSS, I never did get into that much so I can't make any suggestions about how to set up your CSS file(s) to get the desired appearance. Hopefully another member(s) can provide tips, but you can be sure there are loads of information and tutorials on CSS on the net.
