java script file i/o

hi..
I am working on Javascript .
What i need to do is.. redirect a C program's output to the html page. Javascirpt does not allow file opeartions.
Can i do it in Javascript?
Make a page which contains a number that is generated from the C program,
I am so confused.
Hoping for reply.

I dont think javascript allows this, why dont you try java?

but i have to do web programming. I have already got it.
I have used document.location.href and then redirected the output.It works.
