Installed Java2 SDK


i jus installed JRE and SDK but when i run the java command...i get " unknown command " what does this mean? it is installed.
someone shine some light on this?? oh btw..javac n jar dont work either

it will not be on your path. run whereis javac and it should give you it's location, then just add it to your path

PATH=$PATH:/that/place/where/javac/is/

you can add that line to your .bashrc, to make it permanent

well run "updatedb" and then try "locate javac"

/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1_01/bin/

export it in .bash_profile
