I have posted this here because I have no idea where else to post it. I have a thinkpad with a trackpoint. On some web pages, as I am scrolling down the page with the middle mouse button, it will stop. If I go to an outside cell of the page then I can scroll again, but if I go back into the middle cell it will stop in the same part of the page. Is this a html code problem or my machine. I have had this problem on LQ too.
Since it is dependent on the region of the page, it is probably a combination of the HTML source and the system rendering it. Under what browser do you experience these problems?
I am using firefox-1.0. This thead http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=296539 does it at the end of the sixth post. I had a quick look at the source, but seeing as I cant write it, it was just a hope of seeing something obvious.
Interestingly enough, I get the same problem with Firefox 1.0.1. I think it has to do with the "code" divs on the forum. It may be trying to scroll those... hrrm. Might be worthy of a bug report to Mozilla.
Oh well, am happy at least to see thats its not my computer causing it. I think maybe you (Matir) should write the bug report as you will be able to give a better description of what may be the cause, than I would. Thanks for looking.
