howto handle interrupts in linux

hi,

can somebody give me a short tutorial or a step wise procedure to ease me into interrupt handling business. I've been reading "Linux Device Drivers" but its not getting me anywhere. Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated. I'm a student and running short on time for my project.

Thnx in advance

But there must be an easier way. I don't need any of the "high class" stuff. Simply a method to recognise the interrupt will be sufficient. Don't have time to go through that chapter a dozen times.

there are no short cuts as such, this link lists the functions u can use for interrupt handling....

this is for linux device driver environment....
but you should read some stuff up so that you are able to handle the issues that arise instead of having to run around to debug our problems..
