how to compile lisp files


Can any one tell how to compile lisp files on linux plat form....!

I don't think there is a LISP compiler by default in most distributions. So if you have a preferred compiler, you will have to search for the homepage on the web and download either the src or executable for your linux architecture.

Otherwise, if you are new to LISP, then I recommend you do a google search "LISP compiler on Linux" and you will find lots of useful pages. Pick one LISP implementation and install it on your machine.

lisp is generally not compiled.

I wouldn't bother, because by the time you have changed your code to
make it compilable it starts to not look like lisp anymore.
also it's not fun.
