Help writing HTTP POST SPAM filter

Hi all,

The thing is, I would like to write a small application which would serve as a wrapper to Spamassasin, and accept HTTP POST requests sent to it by an HTTP proxy server and check the content against spamassasin's rules, and then read the response from Spamassasin. If its not spam, then forward the request and response back through the proxy, otherwise serve the requesting client an error page from a customizable template.

What I would like to know is, has anyone got any form of code which may be useful for any part of this task? I am considering perl to write it, since I could embed other scripting languages within it, and also since its what spamassasin is written in. If someone has already done something like this, i would be really grateful to have it, otherwise, all help to do this would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Ps. I have not done any extensive scripting, but have basic knowledge of perl and bash scripting......be gentle
