good compiler


hi

im really new to programming (like a week lol)
i did all my compiling on windows so i dont know anything about linux

i have been learning c++

so if anyone can give me advice on a good c++ compiler,

i would be grateful

its g++ compiler your looking for.
just type in the command line g++ --help for more info on how to compile with it.
or check here http://gcc.gnu.org/

ill give g++ a try

im a complete n00b at this though because in windows im so used to clicking the

"compile button"

Also look into creating make files. It'll help you when working on large projects, but even with small ones their useful.
