Good Book to learn

Any suggestions on a book or website to teach about programming? Does not have to be language specific. One comment was to learn data types, structures and concepts. Any ideas! And as always you comments are greatly appreciated.

Personally I think it's best to start learning programming in a C(-like) language. As for C, "The C Programming Language" by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie is a clear book to use. Also, I heard "How to program C" from Deitel & Deitel is pretty good. You /could/ start in a language like PHP, but I think learning something like C first gives you a better grasp of the basic elements of programming. The situation of "where to start" is very debatable though. A lot of programmers will disagree with me. Some might say learning a more OOP oriented language like Java would be better to start of with. I'd say just look around, pick a cool looking language and go from there, it's your decision that matters in the end :-).

I too suggest you to start with C by K&R followed by Operating system concepts by Silberschatz Galvin and then Beginning of Linux Programming by Wrox Publishers.
Good Luck!!!!
