Gnome programming


i am using GTK to develop a message interface that will send messages to different IP address.how can i develop an interface that will send the message and IP address using the same button("send").i am using gtk label to hold the IP address and paned window for my message.is there any other option

My understanding is that gnome/gtk/glib don't provide special facilities for network programming. Try beej's guide to network programming - http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~beej/guide/net/ , but then you'll need to incorporate that into glib's event loop. glib's docs are here: http://developer.gnome.org/doc/API/2.0/glib/index.html

Trying to learn network programming from the ground up in the context of a gui is probably a difficult undertaking.
