gcc again

running debian unstable here.
i just installed gcc-2.95. i already have gcc-3.3.2

i installed 2.95 because i need it to compile stuff which gives me errors with 3.3

when i do a gcc --v, it shows me the gcc3.3.2 which was first installed.
i did an 'export IGNORE_CC_MISMATCH=yes' as root, from a suggestion given to me earlier in my previous post.

but it still picks up gcc3.3.2

how can i make it use gcc2.95?

tia - as always.

Call the compiler using command 'gcc-2.95'.
You can use syntax "CC=gcc-2.95 ./configure" to pass this compiler to configure script.

or gcc -V 2.95 x.cc
that will tell it to use compiler version 2.95
