Forking with PHP and cURL

Hi all,

I just noticed the following in the PHP cURL docs:

" CURLOPT_DNS_USE_GLOBAL_CACHE: This option is not thread-safe and is enabled by default.

Does this mean that I can't fork (using pcntl_fork) a process that has this option enabled?

Sincerely, a person who doesn't really understand what multithreading is

This is a fork, and so it is a new process that is created rather than a new thread so I don't think this problem affects you . AFAIK php does not do threading, however php can sometimes be run in a thread (by the webserver)
