Thanks, but i need to cross compile gcc-2.3 that comes with 4.4BSD-lite under FreeBSD,also I got a problem when compiling Binutil under freebsd,Is there any compatible version for FreeBSD.
I've successfully used Dan Kegel's crosstool scripts to build a cross-compile environment for embedded system development, and they also support Canadian cross builds (which I believe is what you're after). Note that you don't really have to worry about which version of BSD your target is, if it's the same architecture as the build system. In other words I don't think you really need to follow the Canadian cross directions, you can simply build the cross-compile environment on the FreeBSD system and then copy the /opt/crosstool directory over to the 4.4BSD-lite system. Once you've set up your path and perhaps some symlinks you should be good.
