console program gui guide

is there a standard way to create a gui frontend for a console application? is there a guide or howto somewhere? if not, how should i go about finding out how to do it? it is hard? i ask because i want to make a very simple gui for the linux console folding@home client, as i dont like it having the title terminal, and looking like a log file.

thanks.

Tcl/Tk is normally used to do this stuff. It's not very hard. Learn about it.
