cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory (0) SQLSTATE=00000??

Hello All,

The setup of iodbc went all ok.

The configuration of odbc.ini is ok, too.

Code:
[ODBC Data Sources]
MySQL = MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver
Consum = ConsumiblesLanzarote
OpenLink = OpenLink (MT)

[MySQL]
Driver         = /usr/local/lib/libmyodbc3.so   ; libmyodbc.so doesn't exist on the system,

                                                                   ; libmyodbc3.so is from the MySQL package
Description     = MySQL Server
DSN             = MySQL
Server          = localhost
Socket          = /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
Port            = 3306
ServerType      = MySQL
FetchBufferSize = 99
ServerOptions   =
ConnectOptions  =
User = ; filled up in the ODBC connect string
Password = ; filled up in the ODBC connect string
Database = ; filled up in the ODBC connect string
Option          = 3
Stmt            =
TraceFile       = /var/log/mysql_test_trace.log
Trace           = 0

But, there are still some problems with the libraries:

[root@server bin]# iodbctest
iODBC Demonstration program
This program shows an interactive SQL processor
Driver Manager: 03.52.0507.0105

Enter ODBC connect string (? shows list): ?

DSN | Driver
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Consum | ConsumiblesLanzarote
MySQL | MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver
OpenLink | OpenLink (MT)

[HTML]Enter ODBC connect string (? shows list): DSN=MySQL;Database=tiendaconsum;UID=valid_user;PWD=valid_password
1: SQLDriverConnect = [iODBC][Driver Manager]/usr/local/lib/libmyodbc3.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory (0) SQLSTATE=00000
2: SQLDriverConnect = [iODBC][Driver Manager]Specified driver could not be loaded (0) SQLSTATE=IM003

[/HTML]
Do you have any ideas?

Regards,

S,S

Well, does the file it complains about exists?

ls -l /usr/local/lib/libmyodbc3.so
file /usr/local/lib/libmyodbc3.so

Cheers,
Tink

No the files do not exist but some files like "libmyodbc-2.50.39.so" exists in /usr/lib/ directory
