boot efi disk with without a non-efi bios pc...

hi,
i preriodically clone the disk of my laptop for backup purposes...
i've been using the cloning (dd) method because it has always been very easy, in case of emergency, to boot the clone on another laptop and have a working system in minutes...

my new laptop has an efi bios, so i installed ubuntu 13.04 using it...

no problems performing the disk cloning, but if i try and boot the clone disk on an older laptop (i have some) it won't work...

it there a way to do it? i've been searching for a lot, but no hints found so far...

You should be able to boot using a bootloader CD, like SuperGrubDisk.
