Binutils, Cross Compiling problems

Hi
I'm trying to compile Binutils under freebsd 6.2, actually i want to make a cross compile, I configure it with cross compiling options --target and --host, but make script fails and i get the following error (error: cannot find input file: testsuite/Makefile.in).
thanks

I can never get anywhere creating a cross-compiler, but the Cross LFS book has instructions for making a functional one. It's the first time I could get a cross tool chain to work! Although the instructions assume Linux, they should work for BSD as far as the cross-compiler portion(s).
