So I have a program.bash which is in my working directory. I want to be able to just right "program" without the ./ and have it run. Is there any way to do this?
Put it in $HOME/bin. Edit .bashrc and modify path to include $HOME/bin. Now even if you do a complete Distro upgrade or even switch distro as long as /home is separate partition you will never lose your script.
