This is my first post in this forum and I hope to get a reply as it is important and I m stuck.
I have to make a packet filter which captures PPPoE packet into a queue or buffer , read the packet content from the buffer and then do some manipulations in the packet content and then again send out the packet from the same interface. I cant use
libpcap as it just takes a copy of the incoming packets and has no control over the packets coming and going.
I was trying with
libipq but then this I believe is for IP packets. I can capture the packet based on the MAC address with this libipq but I am not very sure whether it removes the ethernet header while queing.
Can you suggest me a pointer to start from here.
