WXCam - this may be a solution for want to be "youtube" Stars

Davo writes: "I recently stumbled across wxcam, a simple versatile program for recording (with audio) from a webcam.

It supports webcam snapshots in several formats, records video in .avi (and with audio in xvid) and supports motion detection.

With ffmpeg installed, the videos can be converted to other formats (.flv for youtube etc)."

I clicked on the "thank you" button because I think this is likely to help a lot of people. Getting webcams to work in Linux seems to be this year's most popular hardware challenge.

Thanks for the note, a bit sad there is no 64-bit version of this package that I could find... Most of the rigs being sold or built come with a dual core, and it is sad people not everthing is available in 64-bit...
