petestaar LQ Newbie Registered: Jan 2008 Posts: 2 Rep:	Radeon 9000(R250) vs Xorg Hi! I've just installed SimplyMEPIS 7.0, and have trouble installing the fglrx driver for my Radoen 9000 (R250) card. I've learned that only drivers up to ver. 8.28.8 support R250, So I've treid to install this version. It however conflicts with the ver. of Xorg, because Xorg is to new and is not supported by 8.28.8. Is this issue possible to solve, or should I go for an open source driver instead? Also is there any ATI open source driver for the Radoen 9000 (R250)?
