MEPIS 3.3.1 and Intel 865G graphics (Mouse pointer not moving!)
Yes, I have installed the driver from http://www.chzsoft.com.ar/855patch.html and done everything specified on the page.
Booted up MEPIS, pleasently surprised to see the resolution problem fixed BUT the mouse pointer won't respond. However much I shake the mouse, nothing. It's a USB mouse and it's detected before MEPIS GUI boots, but doesnt work. Please help

I switched from using the 2.6 kernel to using the 2.4 kernel, I guess the 2.6 one has issues with USB mice

But not clear from your post, whether that solved the problem.
If it is...Good day.
