I remember reading a couple of threads about installing kde3.4 at Mepislovers.com. Seems to me that it was not that difficult but there was some config issues. I think that the consensus was to wait until it hit testing before upgrading. If you haven't been there just use the advanced search at the top of the homepage and type "installing kde3.4" Good Luck, Woob
I didn't have too difficult a time. Have a look .here.
I wasn't able to get 3.4.0 installed, but 3.4.1 is running beautifully for me right now. If following the instructions ends disastrously the first time (it did for me), try again using the deb http://pkg-kde.alioth.debian.org/kde-3.4.1/ ./ repo instead.
