Fujitsu WLAN won't work with SimplyMepis 6.5

Hey mates.

So, i've installed SM 6.5 on my Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P now.

The one problem i have is internet. If i can bring up my WLAN i'll sort sound/video etc. by myself.

I've searched google/LQ/mepislovers and many more but i couldn't find a thing so i have to ask here.

Everywhere i've seen it's said that running "lshw" should give me info about my hardware but when i do that, i find everything except the WLAN. I've tried ndiswrapper, installed the driver, sis163u, (Driver installed, device present) but i can't find it in lshw, lsmod, lspci or any other. In iwconfig/ifconfig there's only eth0, lo and "sit0" (dunno what that is btw....)

In mnetwork when i press the wlan0 or wifi0 button under the interface tab i get "Device does not exist" (or something like that)

What can i do?

System :

Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P
Intel Core 2 Duo
Fujitsu Siemens Computers Wlan 802.11b/g (SiS163U)

I've been struggling with this for one week now, so any kind of response would be appreciated.

Post the output of "dmesg" command please. Also look for a message something like "Radio Frequency Kill Switch is On" in the output. I had the same problem with ipw2200 on FSiemens and I couldn't switch on the radio since the button was not working in Linux. Maybe you have the same problem but I'm not sure without looking in the logs.

Cheers,

Hey mate!

I found out what was wrong, i used the 64-bit version of SimplyMepis.

What i found was really irritating, FS doesn't provide support or drivers for 64-bit!

So, i just reinstalled to the 32-bit version of SM, WiFi is up, sound is down though
