Post Windows with Linux..can't boot windows or install

Hi Everyone,
I am REALLY NEW to Linux and need major help.

I recently installed Mandrake Community 10.0 onto my PC which was running Win XP.

Ever since then, I have not been able to get back into Windows. I have tried re-installing windows, repartitioning, formatting, etc. and then reinstalling Win XP and when the machine tries to boot I get the message "Cannot Load Operating System".

Unfortunately I need to still keep Windows because of my job and applications that run on it that are not currently available in Linux yet.

What can I do to get Windows XP to reinstall successfully and also to run Linux?

Thanks in advance for any help. I greatly apreciate it.
Michele

Hi,
Thanks for the Quick reply.

I tried that, but it didn't work. I think I've totally screwed up my hard drive and wonder if it is even fixable???

Thanks again for help

I don't know what to suggest but i don't think that your hard drive isn't fixable.
