Whois command

Hi, I want to know data about some IP's. I know that the command whois could help me.
I red that it is available in Mandrake. I have Mandrake 10.0 Official, and when I try to use it the shell answers me:
bash: whois: command not found
If I type man whois, the shell shows me the man page.
Could anybody help me please?. Thank You.
