Which distribution should i choose next


Hi, i would like to know which distribution u recommend after mandrake. I dont know if redhat,debian,or gentoo. Thx

whichever one you want to. there is never going to be a correct answer... please check the reviews section of this site for opinons about all the distros you are asking about.

i went to slackware, I tired gentoo but i wanted to do a stage 1 install.. I gave up after about 30+ hours and installed slack.. havent looked back yet

gentoo is tough to get up and running, but great afterwards.
i wouldnt suggest it if you are very new to linux.

it really depens on what you need it for, though.
whatever siuts your personal preference.

i like medialinux2 , but thats cuase im doing alot of video/sound stuff at the moment.

distrowatch has a huge list of distros, go there and find one you want.

www.libranet.com is all you'll ever want. Easy & stable.

And it's NOT American ;-)

AFTER MANDRAKE! Why???

Lol, really though, any reasons why you would switch FROM Mandrake instead of TO Mandrake?

slackware is great if you want to learn linux more in depth

when i was using redhat it felt like i was using windows again lol

currently im using slack

i really like it because im learning all kinds of new things
