I am attempting to downlaod drivers for my NVIDIA GF3 card. I get in at runlevel 3 and execute the script I downlaoded from NVIDIA. It cannot find the driver that best fits the kernel I have on the FTP site (and PPP is running)...so it attempts to compile it on its own. It fails saying something about not finding the scource tree. I went into usr/src/linux and could not find it either (I was a Red Hat Fedora user until yesterday). Where is it? Am I barking up the wrong tree? (BTW: I did get my NVIDIA Drivers to work in Red Hat so I know the genreal procedure about editing xFree files, etc.)

It looks like the nvidia driver can't find the kernel source tree, I think you can install them just from the mandrake cd. If not, go to kernel.org and downlaod the source for your kernel. To find out the right version try uname -v and link /usr/src/linux-yourversion to /usr/src/linux by
'rm /usr/src/linux'
going into /usr/src
ln -s /usr/src/linux-yourversion /usr/src/linux
