Hey everybody !

Just installed Mandrake 9.1.
Installed all the upgrades available.
I wanna use my Mandrake PC as a gateway, and I want to be able to surf the Internet from the inside on another PC. Shouldn't be a problem, right ? Yeah, sure !!!

I have two NICs installed, both are 3Com NICs and they are also very common.
Both NICs are working fine if I try them one without the other.
What ever I try, only eth0 will come online, if both NICs are installed... >(
Believe me...I've tried everything...yeah okey I'm a Linux newbie...

WHAT IS WRONG ?

If you open the Mandrake Control Center and run through Drak Connect the wizard will ask you if you have more than one card. You should be able to set up both cards.

Well...I did that...about 10 or 15 times...

No matter how I try, the computer will not run 2 NICs...
About to give up on this...have been trying for more than a week...
Any ideas ?

You know, it would be easier if you put a NIC in each computer and set one up as the gateway or use a router or set up a third system as a router. You should be able to share an Internet connection just using ethernet on both systems and a cross-over cable between the two. I did this with one Linux box and one Win2K box, it worked pretty well.
