upgrading from 2009.0 to 2010 failed ?

I tried to upgrade from mandriva 2009.0 to manriva 2010 automatically through the net ,but for some reason it failed after 1200/1700 packages ,now when I start my computer the boot loader is that of the 2010 but when I choose to boot linux it starts no kde or gnome, only command line ?
how can I fix that ? how can I download 2010 if I have no DVD writer ??
is it available on three CDs as before ??

thnx ,

Login as root and run:
Code:
urpmi --auto-update
and then re-boot. That should complete the upgrade. If you still don't have KDE or Gnome, execute as root:
Code:
urpmi task-kde4
urpmi task-gnome
It is possible to use the DVD iso file as an installation source. It's also possible to launch a network install using a boot CD. This page describes the alternative installation methods:

There is something wrong with how X is configured, perhaps insufficient packages installed.

XFdrake

after becoming root in text mode will start the configurator. You can use Tab and arrows to navigate, space to check/uncheck, Enter to execute. Try that.

You might want to take a look at errata: http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/2010.0_Errata

I went there and navigated through the options without changing any thing and it's now OK .

Thanks ,
