Upgrading 7.2


NOW THAT I'VE 7.2 LOADED AND IT SEEMS TO BE DOING ALLRIGHT. WHATS THE BEST WAY TO BRING IT UP TO DATE. IS THERE A WAY TO DO IT ONLINE. WHATS THE EASIEST WAY TO UPGRADE.

Aha, Mandrake 7.2. Sorry, missed the forum. Don't know how well urpmi works on 7.2, but this should be the thing. man urpmi to get some help.

And in any case, stop yelling

You may not be aware

But the current version of Mandrake is version 9.1 and the ISO images for the three discs required for installation are available at the Mandrake site - upgrading from 7.2 to 9.1 sounds like a chore!

Sorry about the yelling,been awake for two days. I cannot get them from I.S.O to cd. If I could just download and burn to cd Eveything would be easy. I could just go burn cd of all the latest distros and try them one by one and keep the one I liked.
The only problam with mandrake 7.2 I have found is I am locked out of both my floppy drive and my cd drive. Evan in root with all permisions set to allow. Do you happen to know how to solve this.
