upgrading....

uhhmm...im going to try out mandrake 9 cause its what i have handy on cd's, and i was wondering if i upgrade or update 9.0 will it become 9.2? or is that a wholly different build that needs a new download?

You will be able to upgrade 9.0 to 9.2, at least is theory. You willl need to define a 9.2 source in urpmi and do

urpmi --auto-select

Most people (including me) do clean installs each time but I've seen reports of successful urpmi ugrades.....

would there be a way to upgrade to 9.1? looks like 9.2 still has bugs that need to be ironed out...

Sure, just download and burn the 9.1 iso's and do the upgrade. That said, I'd still recommend a clean install if you have that option.
