I boot the above OSs now and want to install MDK10 official along with them. Currently using linspire lilo. Will mandrake give me an option to NOT mess with any bootloader and make a boot floppy till I see if I want to continue to check it out. If not do you think it will pick up my other OSs?
Yes, one of the options when installing is where you want to boot from: the MBR, a boot floppy, etc. It also asks you how you want to handle the existing partitions (leave alone, overwrite, remove, resize....). I just installed MDK 10.0 official alongside Windows XP Pro and there were no issues at all. I'm sure it will recognize your other OSes and (if you decide) add them to the bootloader so you pick and choose when it boots. Good luck!
I've tried running SuSE and Mandrake 10 on the same laptop alongside each other and XP. Mandrake won't recognise SuSE so I can't boot SuSE if I boot Mandrake from MBR. It doesn't seem to like the SuSE ReiserFS.
